Helpdesk Intake Coordinator (IT)

We are looking for a Level 1 helpdesk teammate to join our IT department. This full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position will work from our headquarters located at 200 N. Martingale Rd., Ste. 700, Schaumburg, Illinois 60173. We are looking for candidates with a track record of tenacity and customer service. While PC competency is required, we can teach additional technical skills. To succeed, one must be detail-oriented, be able to prioritize, meet deadlines, remain organized, and be flexible for special projects. Excellent time management skills are a must, and you must work well both with a team and independently. Your desire to seek solutions and help our employees and clients sets you apart. Responsibilities Capture all issues accurately into our ticket system (e.g., Zendesk) and elevate to higher tiered support as needed Field phone calls via Avalon’s help desk support numbers Handle minor software issues through troubleshooting or escalating to higher tiered support Maintain, configure, and support Windows OS computers Document support issues and their respective resolution Support Avalon office moves with setup of new services and equipment Other projects as needed The successful candidate will be a team player who is organized, willing to learn new concepts, and proactive in supporting employees. This role requires a solid work ethic foundation and a willingness to grow skills. The position offers a starting base compensation range of $20.00–$23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
