AAT Senior Research Technician

Summary The AAT Research and Telemetry Technician supports in vivo studies involving telemetry systems. Assists with surgical implantation, data acquisition, and animal care under GLP and AAALAC standards. Supports telemetry-based animal research studies for infectious disease modeling, therapeutic testing, and physiological monitoring. Responsibilities Implant, maintain, and monitor telemetry devices. Collect physiological data from non-human primates and small animals. Ensure accurate logging and database entry of study data. Support animal welfare, health monitoring, and cage-side observations. Maintain telemetry equipment and troubleshoot as needed. Support telemetry-based animal research studies for infectious disease modeling, therapeutic testing, and physiological monitoring. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with GLP and AAALAC compliance. Skilled in surgical prep and recovery monitoring. Proficient in data collection software and lab instrumentation. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in animal science, veterinary tech, or biology. Minimum 4+ years in preclinical animal research and telemetry studies. Experience in animal handling, dosing, and telemetry. Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance eligibility, with no access to classified information, is required. Enroll in the Personnel Reliability Program (PRP), if required. Preferred Qualifications ACTIVE SECRET is preferred. LAT or LATG certification preferred. Pay and Benefits The salary range for this position is $38.00 to $43.00 hourly.
