LVN/LPN Float (SA00103814)

Job Responsibilities:

• The LVN/LPN will perform patient registration and intake tasks, will assist with wait room management and other tasks to enhance the patient experience.
• Clinical responsibilities to include phlebotomy and specimen collection services, vaccine injection, patient assessment activities during intake such as vital signs, and performing diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy.
• Candidates must have previous experience with immunizations/injections.
• Please note: Nurses whose experience is primarily in long-term care settings such as nursing homes, home health, LTACs, and skilled nursing facilities may encounter challenges adapting to the environment.
• Common areas of difficulty include managing multiple simultaneous tasks, limited exposure to standard immunization protocols, and unfamiliarity with navigating the EPIC electronic health record system.

Skills:

• Clinical experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings
• Strong multitasking and time-management skills in busy patient care environments
• Minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
• Hands-on experience administering immunizations and providing vaccine education
• Ability to take vital signs and perform standard clinical tasks
• Experience documenting within an EMR system (EPIC preferred)

Education/Experience:

• Active, unrestricted LVN/LPN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross)
