Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, using standardized assessment tools.

• Collaborating with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.

• Employing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address clients’ unique challenges.

• Providing education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, various treatment options, and healthy coping mechanisms.

• Monitoring and documenting client progress over time and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals as needed, ensuring an integrated approach to client care.

• Staying informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance therapeutic interventions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals dealing with mood disorders, including those from vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and domestic abuse survivors. You will provide compassionate care, addressing their distinct emotional and psychological needs while empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve lasting improvement in their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
