Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, the Spire network spans the Northeast with more than 165 physicians, 1,800 employees, 285 other clinical providers and 40 locations in New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts.What you’ll do:Responsibilities/Duties:Manage patient check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate data entryComplete full patient registrationEducate and provide patients with office and billing policies and insurance participationEnsure that necessary forms are completed and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers)Collect and verify patient insurance details, confirm eligibility, and process any co-pays and/or balances at time of serviceSubmit daily payment collection reportsSchedule follow up appointments, document cancelled or rescheduled appointmentsAssist patients in coordinating tests, labs, imaging, outside referrals; obtaining or facilitating necessary insurance authorizationProvide outstanding customer service and assistance to patientsAnswer phones, take messages, direct calls to appropriate department or staffManage record requests and releases in collaboration with Medical Records DepartmentOpen and close office as neededMaintain a professional and respectful work environment through positive interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues.All other duties as assignedWho you are:Qualifications:High school Diploma or equivalent.Previous knowledge of check-in and check-out process.Knowledge of Insurance policies and procedures.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task, manage time, has strong customer service skills, and is reliable.What we offer:Excellent growth and advancement opportunitiesDynamic environmentAccess to a diverse network of practitionersBroad infrastructure of tools and programs to enhance the employee experienceCompetitive CompensationGenerous PTOBenefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), etc.We are an equal-opportunity employer.
