Design Engineer

Our client is a national leader in the engineering and fabrication of steel and concrete structures for the electric utility industry, serving transmission, distribution, and substation applications. They are seeking a Design Engineer to lead the analysis and design of tubular steel transmission structures, working closely with customers, project management, and fabrication teams to deliver accurate, code-compliant designs from concept through construction. What you'll do Analyze and design tubular steel transmission structures and associated products in accordance with project design criteria and applicable industry standards Review customer specifications and coordinate design revisions with project management, modeling, and estimating teams Prepare design calculations, cost estimates, and complete engineering documentation Communicate directly with customers and plant personnel to resolve technical questions and design ambiguities Review drawings for design conformance and perform quality checks on peer-designed work Support resolution of technical issues arising in fabrication and the field What you'll need Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a background in structural design, or equivalent experience 5+ years of relevant design experience EIT required Proficiency with structural design software Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively Medical, dental, and vision coverage Life, AD&D, and disability insurance 401(k) with company match and flexible spending accounts Tuition reimbursement and leadership development programs Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave Backed by an established, publicly traded infrastructure company with a long-standing industry presence #J-18808-Ljbffr Jasurda Search Group
