Job Summary The Area Sales Representative is a field based, high activity hunter role with full ownership of a geographic territory. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on being in front of customers, driving territory strategy, and representing a mission critical service in a fast paced market. This is a road warrior role: most days are spent in the field meeting prospects, visiting clients, and building relationships. Responsibilities * Own and grow a defined territory through field prospecting, phone outreach, networking, referrals, and ongoing client engagement, including in person visits, calls, emails, and relationship building activities.* Build and manage a strong sales pipeline from initial outreach through long-term account expansion.* Develop a deep understanding of client operations and logistics needs to effectively position Imperative’s solutions.* Use data, tools, and market insights to strategically plan daily activities and maximize territory performance.* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and long-term success.* Represent Imperative professionally and consistently with a customer first mindset in all interactions. Skills and Qualifications * Strong communication skills with the ability to connect quickly and build professional relationships.* High emotional intelligence with the ability to ask great questions and actively listen.* Ability to collaborate across internal teams to support customer needs and ensure seamless service.* Strong organization, time management, and follow through.* CRM experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) is preferred but not required, training is available.* Previous sales or customer facing experience is desired but not required; we’re committed to training motivated candidates.* Brings resilience and a solution oriented mindset when navigating challenges or shifting priorities.* Creative problem-solving and strategic thinking to identify opportunities and drive business growth.* Valid Driver’s License within the state territory.
