SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Position SummaryAn Automotive Technician is largely responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicle engine systems. Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems. Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed. Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine coolingPosition ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance and repair on customer vehiclesIdentify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipmentExplain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer servicePlan repair procedures using charts manuals and experienceTest the functionality of parts and systemsPerform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotationRepair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other partsPerform routine maintenance and general mechanical work on vehiclesPrepared to get additional certification as neededWillingness to learn with hands-on trainingHelp keep repair shop clean and organizedKeep a professional appearancePosition Requirements and QualificationsAutomotive and engine repair experience or auto mechanic training requiredASE certifications preferredHold a valid driver licenseGraduated from an associate degree program in auto maintenance and repairAbility to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer serviceMust read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate recordsPerform routine maintenance and other tasks in a fast-paced environmentMay lift objects that weigh as much as 50 lbsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience as a lube technician, or prepared to do on-the-job trainingUnderstanding of automotive air-conditioning systemsAbility to use the diagnostic equipmentExperience with heavy equipment and as a diesel mechanic, diesel engine knowledge, or prepared to do on-the-job trainingGood hand-eye coordination #J-18808-Ljbffr Doral Automotive Group
