Software Virtual Platform Simulation Engineer

Salary: $129,300 - 193,900 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline plus 2+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience.
• Alternatively, we accept a masters degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline plus 1+ year of software engineering or equivalent experience.
• We also consider candidates with a PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• We require 2+ years of academic or professional experience programming in C, C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• We prefer 12+ years of software or firmware engineering experience, or closely related work.
• We prefer 5+ years of experience building virtual platforms or simulators.
• We value open-source development experience.
• We value experience with unit testing and continuous integration.
• We prefer familiarity with ARM Fast Models.
• We prefer experience with server architecture, including RAS and manageability.
• We strongly prefer skills in SystemC TLM or QEMU.
• We strongly prefer modern C++ expertise.
• We strongly prefer knowledge of ARM architecture, including CPU, GIC, and CoreSight Debug.
• We strongly prefer firmware and/or device driver development and debugging experience.
• We strongly prefer experience using Git for revision control.

• We design and develop SystemC TLM models that accurately reflect SoC architectures.
• We integrate processors, interconnects, peripherals, and custom IP blocks into the SystemC simulator.
• We work closely with hardware designers, software engineers, and other stakeholders to gather system requirements and convert them into detailed SystemC models.
• We apply advanced software and hardware systems expertise to create and modify virtual models.
• We define software requirements for complex SoC TLM model development.
• We design and implement TLM models for large-scale products and systems.
• We lead design, coding, and testing activities to deliver projects on time and to specification.
• We perform code reviews, regression testing, issue triage, and bug fixes to maintain code quality.
• We collaborate with hardware, systems, and test teams to build solutions that integrate effectively with other project components.
• We work independently with minimal supervision and may guide other team members.
• We communicate complex technical information clearly and may influence key organizational decisions.
• We manage multi-step tasks through careful planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.
