About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: State nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of ICU experience - First-time travelers accepted Description: This position is specifically for winter coverage for a 10-week contract. Local radius restrictions are waived for this assignment. The start date must be on or before December 18, 2026. No holiday requirements. Float to PCU, other ICUs, and additional campuses as needed. Weekend coverage is required. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with a focus on adult and geriatric patients. Prior charge experience is preferred. The nursing staff will manage a patient ratio of 2:1 during the night shift. Key skills include arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and central line care. Experience with emergency medications and managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction is essential. A commitment to patient care and infection prevention is necessary. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be integral to this role. Travelers should be knowledgeable in Epic for charting. Module completion prior to start is required.
