HR Generalist

Salary: USD26 - USD30 per hour Job Title Human Resources (HR) Generalist Position Summary The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and administering a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, policy implementation, training and development, and HR operations. This role serves as a key resource for employees and managers, helping to foster a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. Key Responsibilities Employee Relations Serve as a primary point of contact for employee HR-related questions and concerns. Support managers and employees in resolving workplace issues and conflicts. Promote employee engagement and a positive work environment. Conduct investigations and assist with employee relations matters as needed. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and facilitating offers. Support hiring managers throughout the recruitment process. Manage new hire onboarding and orientation programs. Ensure completion of new hire documentation and compliance requirements. HR Administration Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Process employee status changes, including promotions, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations. Assist with HR reporting, metrics, and audits. Ensure confidentiality of employee information. Benefits & Leave Administration Support employee benefits enrollment and changes. Respond to employee questions regarding benefits programs. Assist with leave administration, including FMLA, ADA, and other applicable programs. Coordinate with benefits brokers and vendors as needed. Performance Management & Development Assist with performance review processes and annual evaluation cycles. Support employee development and training initiatives. Track training completion and professional development activities. Provide guidance on performance improvement plans and corrective actions. Compliance & Policy Administration Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist in developing and updating HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks. Support workplace safety programs and required compliance training. Participate in HR audits and compliance reviews. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of progressive HR experience. Working knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices. Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred. Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent HR certification. Experience supporting multi-state employee populations. Knowledge of compensation, benefits, and employment compliance programs.
