PURPOSE OF POSITION The Program Specialist/ Marketing Coordinator of Elder Fraud Prevention and Financial Stability will work closely with the Manager, SDSCF team, volunteers, and community partners on the execution, and expansion of multi-market initiatives that protect older adults from financial exploitation, fraud, and abuse. The Program Specialist/ Marketing Coordinator will delegate and schedule events, coordinate with elected officials and community partners to bring resource tables and older adults to each event. PRINCIPAL DUTIES Strategic Leadership & Program Oversight Work with Manager and SDSCF team to establish vision and strategy for Elder Fraud Protection and Financial Stability programming, aligning with organizational mission Create flyers and social media posts to market and outreach to local communities Coordinate and book locating facility spaces, presenters, community partners, for events Ensure events are ADA compliant as well as assess language needs and book interpreters as needed Identify emerging trends in elder fraud, scams, and financial exploitation; translate insights into responsive, scalable program strategies Ensure strong attendance at all Elder Fraud workshops and resource fairs External Relations & Public Leadership Serve as a public-facing spokesperson for the organization in matters of Elder Fraud Prevention and Financial Stability, able to represent the organization well in media appearances, public forums, and stakeholder engagements Shape and communicate clear and impactful messaging on financial vulnerability and elder protection, and methods to secure the financial future of seniors Partnership Development & Coalition Building Develop cross-sector partnerships with nonprofits, financial institutions, government agencies, and community-based organizations Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, funders and national partners Collaborate with FBI, law enforcement and regulatory entities to strengthen prevention and response efforts Foster inclusive, culturally responsive engagement strategies across diverse communities Grants, Compliance & Impact Reporting Partner with program and development teams to support grant strategies, proposal development, and funder engagement Ensure compliance with grant and contract requirements Oversee tracking of deliverables, budgets, and outcomes in partnership with finance, program, and development teams for elder fraud and financial stability funding sources Lead preparation of high-quality narrative and data-driven reports for funders, government agencies, and board stakeholders QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Required Demonstrated understanding of the issues impacting older adults, including financial vulnerability and exploitation Proven experience leading or facilitating multi-site or national programs with measurable outcomes, or commensurate experience Willingness and ability to travel frequently Proven convener, able to coordinate multiple stakeholders, recruit volunteers, and facilitate event attendance Good public speaking and presentation skills; comfortable engaging diverse audiences Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including external communications Demonstrated ability to build systems and operational infrastructure Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail Preferred Experience working with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, or national advocacy organizations Experience building and managing cross-sector partnerships Media training or experience with press and public relations Knowledge of Medicare, Social Security, and related systems Bilingual or multilingual capabilities highly desired Experience with managing social media, marketing outreach, and proficient in Canva Leadership Competencies Deep commitment to the mission of protecting older adults Strategic thinker with the ability to assist in executing vision Data-informed coordinator with strong accountability for outcomes High emotional intelligence and cultural competency EDUCATION Bachelor’s degree in relevant major or commensurate experience Gerontology degree or certifications a plus LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; bilingual a plus JUDGMENT/REASONING ABILITY Use of good judgment and own initiative Logical thought process Works well under pressure OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES An independent, confident self-starter skilled at working in a collaborative environment A willingness to learn and challenge personal paradigms Excellent listening skills Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Professional attitude and demeanor Positive and enthusiastic Ability to be flexible and open to change #J-18808-Ljbffr Cim
