Desired Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role in schools is preferred
• Familiarity with classroom procedures, learning strategies, and positive behavioral interventions
• Ability to follow educator direction and adapt to various learning environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to supporting children’s learning
• Capability to assist with both academic and behavioral guidance

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in the implementation of lesson plans and activities
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts and provide individualized assistance
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning atmosphere
• Assist with classroom management and redirection of student behaviors as needed
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing professional development
• Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch periods, and other non-instructional times
