Step into a fulfilling, hands-on role supporting students' academic journeys as a dedicated paraprofessional. This contract position offers the opportunity to make a daily impact by providing individualized, one-to-one support for a K–12 student with moderate to severe learning and behavioral needs. With a consistent schedule of 32 hours per week, you’ll be an essential part of a collaborative team focused on student growth, learning, and well-being.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role preferred
• Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
• Ability to support students with learning and behavioral challenges
• Familiarity with implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong interpersonal skills; works well within a multi-disciplinary team
• Reliable, patient, and proactive in supporting student development

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one assistance to a K–12 student throughout the school day
• Follow and help implement IEP goals, providing academic, behavioral, and communication support
• Assist with classroom activities and encourage student participation and independence
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure student safety and positive progress
• Support daily routines, transitions, and social interaction for the student
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment to help students thrive academically and socially
