Empower positive change in the classroom by supporting a K–12 student with moderate to severe learning and behavioral needs in this contract paraprofessional role. This position offers the rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference through compassionate, individualized support in an educational setting. Working 32 hours each week, you’ll collaborate with teachers and school staff to foster student growth, independence, and well-being.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment (elementary, middle, or high school)
• Familiarity with supporting students with learning and behavioral challenges
• Understanding of IEP implementation and adaptive strategies
• Effective communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support for a designated student throughout the school day
• Assist in implementing the student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP), focusing on academics, behavior, communication, and overall daily functioning
• Work closely with teachers and other staff to promote safety, encourage independence, and track progress
• Foster an encouraging and supportive learning environment tailored to the student’s unique needs
• Reinforce behavior strategies and adapt instruction to maximize student engagement and participation
