Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) At South Beach Psychiatric Center (SBPC)South Beach Psychiatric Center (SBPC), an Office of Mental Health (OMH) Joint Commission accredited facility, is recruiting a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide case management to individuals with severe mental illness and become a member of SBPC's Crisis Response Team (CRT). The CRT team responds to urgent mental health crises within the facility with the goal of preventing escalation or restrictive interventions. The shift schedule is 10:00AM – 6:00PM or 11:00AM – 7:00PM, and 1 weekend a month.As an LMSW or LCSW at SBPC, you will:Manage a case load of individuals with complex mental health diagnoses.Conduct immediate assessments, de-escalation techniques, and stabilization strategies to individuals experiencing acute distress.Participate in treatment team meetings to help develop care management plans.Advocate and provide connections to the services needed.About SBPC:SBPC offers a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services to adults with serious mental illness and children and adolescents with serious emotional disturbances living in Brooklyn and Staten Island. SBPC is a teaching site for psychiatry residents from Richmond University Medical Center and New York University.SBPC provides recovery-oriented and patient-centered behavioral health treatment to 3,500 individuals. Their inpatient facility provides care to approximately 335 patients, including units devoted to children and adolescents and medically complex patients. SBPC's network of community services is comprised of Transitional Living Residences, outpatient clinics in Brooklyn and Staten Island, Children and Youth Day Treatment, MIT and ACT teams and specialized treatment programs serving LGBTQ+ clients and Limited English Proficiency (LEP) patients.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement – Statewide (NY HELPS) program if they are licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).ORPossession of a license and current registration as a licensed clinical social worker in New York State.ORCandidates within State Service can be considered transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.Additional Comments:All OMH employees receive a generous benefits package including:NYS medical, dental, & vision insuranceAccess to tuition assistance programsExcellent opportunities for advancement & professional growthPaid time off – 13 paid vacation days in the first year, 5 paid personal days, 13 paid holidays, & paid sick leaveNYS Retirement programsBackground checks will be required. This position is eligible for a Downstate Adjustment of $4,000. Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift and weekend days. 10% shift differential for night shift.Note:1.
