- Conducting thorough patient evaluations, ordering diagnostic procedures, and developing personalized treatment strategies
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in partnership with physicians or independently, per your qualifications
- Providing education to patients and families regarding prevention, wellness, and effective disease management
- Prescribing appropriate medications and therapies within your scope of practice
- Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management initiatives
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive and seamless patient care
- Accurately documenting all patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain them within 90 days)
- Exceptional clinical skills complemented by a compassionate approach to patient interaction
- Outstanding communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, patient-focused settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems and a comfort level with telehealth delivery
