This role offers a unique blend of well-baby nursery and NICU coverage, including daily patient management, admissions, discharge planning, and attendance at high-risk deliveries. Providers enjoy a high level of autonomy with independent in-house coverage after 4 PM, backed by 24/7 neonatology support. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Advanced Practitioners develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
