Job Title: Assembly Technician
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our team in the assembly department, assisting with specialty electronic cables, connectors, and assemblies for military, corporate, commercial, and general aviation aircraft. This role involves reading work orders and prints, locating and selecting materials for the assembly team, and cutting cables using our efficient foot pedal-operated machine. You will also label finished assemblies with specific colored labels and shrink wrap cables to prevent damage. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to be cross-trained in other departments.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and prints to locate and select correct materials for assembly.
• Assist with cable cutting using a machine operated by a foot pedal mechanism.
• Properly label and mark finished assemblies with specific colored labels.
• Shrink wrap cables to prevent damage.
• Cross-train in other departments as needed.

Essential Skills

• 1-2+ years of picking/order selecting experience.
• Experience following work orders to find product.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to distinguish colors (not colorblind).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in packing, soldering, and blueprint reading.
• Wiring and labeling skills.
• Experience in inventory management and order picking.

The facility is equipped with modern equipment, including an 80-foot cutting table pre-measured with measurement marks. Safety is a priority, with a dress code requiring safety shoes, pants, and safety glasses. The environment is conducive to productivity and efficiency, fostering a positive and collaborative work atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waukesha, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
