About the Position We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Parts Counter Personat our Ryan Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram of Monticello location. This position i s a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about automotive parts and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. The position is Full-Time and requires the candidate to work on-site, as it is not a remote job. Serving as an integral component of our parts department, the Parts Counter Person will interact directly with customers and technicians, ensuring they receive the precise parts they need with efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be dependable, motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. Duties and Responsibilities Assist customers and technicians in identifying and selecting the correct parts for various vehicles, equipment, or machinery Utilize inventory management systems to check stock levels, order parts as necessary, and ensure timely fulfillment of all parts requests Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering advice, and solving parts-related issues promptly Maintain an organized record of all transactions and communications to ensure accuracy and accountability in parts inventory Participate in stocktaking activities, assess inventory needs, and assist with ordering to maintain optimal stock levels Process returns and exchanges in accordance with company policies, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency Stay informed of new parts and products, as well as updates in automotive industry standards that may affect parts management Coordinate with the sales and service departments to optimize parts availability and minimize disruptions to business operations Ensure the parts counter area and storage are clean, organized and compliant with safety regulations at all times Attend and participate in regular training sessions and meetings to improve professional skills and product knowledge Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive or parts management is a plus Proven experience working as a Parts Counter Person or in a similar role within automotive or related industries General understanding of automotive parts and systems, with an ability to identify, locate, and explain their functions and compatibility Ability to use inventory management software and other computer systems necessary for parts ordering and record keeping Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a capability to engage positively with customers and colleagues Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple client requests simultaneously Ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and independently when required Commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to attend training to enhance product knowledge and customer service skills Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, depending on departmental needs In addition to career-long personal development, our associates enjoy a number of benefits, including: Health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a variety of additional voluntary insurance options Company-paid basic life insurance and long-term disability coverage for eligible employees Paid vacation, sick leave, & holidays 401(k) retirement saving with an employer match after one-year of employment Preferred pricing on vehicles, parts, tires, accessories, and maintenance Company-provided lunch for employees working on Saturday If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your career with a company that values its employees, customers, and community, we'd love to hear from you.
