Publishing Operations Manager

DescriptionKforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Publishing Operations Manager.Summary:We are seeking a highly organized Publishing Operations Manager to oversee operational workflows, contracts, payments, vendor management, and administrative processes supporting publishing, content, and talent-related initiatives. This role serves as a central point of coordination between internal departments, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure projects, agreements, and operational activities are executed efficiently and accurately.Key Responsibilities:* Manage contracts, onboarding, invoices, payments, and operational documentation* Coordinate agreements and related workflows from initiation through execution* Partner with Legal, Finance, Operations, and external stakeholders to facilitate timely completion of contracts and deliverables* Maintain accurate records of contracts, contacts, invoices, payments, and supporting documentation* Monitor deadlines, milestones, deliverables, and payment obligations* Manage invoice intake, processing, tracking, reconciliation, and payment workflows* Serve as a primary point of contact for operational inquiries and issue resolution* Develop, maintain, and improve operational workflows and business processes* Prepare and maintain project trackers, reporting tools, and operational dashboards* Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal departments to support day-to-day operations* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and enhance reporting capabilities* Support special projects and operational initiatives as assignedRequirements* 4+ years of experience in publishing, media, entertainment, operations, project management, or a related business environment* Strong organizational, project management, and workflow coordination skills* Experience managing contracts, invoices, payments, and administrative financial processes* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Workspace, and spreadsheet-based reporting* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and follow-through capabilities.Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment* Experience working within large or complex organizationsPreferred Qualifications:* Publishing, media, entertainment, or content operations experience* Vendor management experience* Experience with workflow management platforms, contract management systems, or project tracking tools* Experience creating and maintaining operational processes and documentation* Familiarity with content, publishing, licensing, or intellectual property management processesKey Competencies:* Operations Management* Project Coordination* Contract Administration* Vendor Management* Financial Operations Support* Workflow Development* Process Improvement* Reporting & Analytics* Stakeholder Management* Organizational Skills* Communication Skills* Attention to DetailThe ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong project management skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience managing multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.Job TypeContractCompensation49 - $52
