Designs and develops RF circuitry used in high frequency and microwave applications, including receivers, transmitters, antennas, and frequency synthesizers. Responsible for hardware layout, component evaluation, prototype construction, and test. Prepares test methods and specifications; analyzes and tests RF hardware to verify performance characteristics. Provides inputs to Product Development for formal documentation and supports manufacturing during the deliverable assembly and test phase. In addition, develops RF System/Subsystem Architectures consisting of: antennas, transmitters, receivers, low noise amplifiers, high power amplifiers, RF conversion elements and transmission line equipment. Performs link analysis and optimization, including effects of propagation medium and possible interference sources. Develops and allocates RF system and subsystem functional and performance requirements. Identifies and tracks RF technical performance measurements (TPMs). Performs RF system/subsystem/component trade studies and CAIV analysis. Supports Life Cycle Costs, reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.Basic Qualifications• Understanding of technical requirements and allocation of functions down to satellite subsystems and/or components• MATLAB or other coding experienceSecurity Clearance / Work Authorization:• To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen.• Prior to starting employment, selected candidates will be required to possess Top Secret clearance. For this position, applicants must possess a currently Active Top Secret security clearance to be considered.• Selected candidates will be required to obtain, and maintain, Top Secret with adjudicated SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI w/Poly) for long term employment on this program.Desired Skills• Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance• Ability to develop and analyze technical requirements, performing trade studies, and allocating functions down to RF payloads, subsystems and/or components• Proficiency with the development of specifications and interface definitions for digitally processed RF payloads• Experience with defining external interfaces for antennas, active/passive RF components, receivers/transmitters, and digital processors• Experience with certifying and selling off an RF payload or subsystem to the customer• Experience with and/or application of AI/ML Data analysis Techniques• Experience using and programming in Python• Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related STEM discipline• A team player with the demonstrated ability to participate in cross functional teams and communicate and coordinate work as one team with common goals; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with management and peers#SpaceNSSPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
