Human Resources Coordinator

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Duration: 6-month contract with potential for temp-to-hire based on business needs and performance Schedule: Fully onsite, 5 days per week Target Start Date: ASAP We are working with a well-established organization in McLean, VA that is seeking an HR Coordinator to support its recruiting and human resources team. This is a great opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys coordinating logistics, supporting candidates, and keeping recruiting operations running smoothly. The HR Coordinator will provide administrative and logistical support for recruiting activities, including candidate onboarding, interview coordination, career fairs, travel arrangements, and recruiting systems. Key Responsibilities Support the recruiting team with job postings, requisition updates, candidate movement, and application review. Assist with hiring and onboarding activities within the applicant tracking system. Generate offer letters and assist with candidate communications. Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, drug testing, I-9s, and onboarding communications. Maintain accurate candidate and recruiting information within HR systems. Interview & Candidate Coordination Coordinate interview schedules, calendar invitations, conference rooms, catering, and other interview-day logistics. Arrange transportation and other details for candidates as needed. Greet and assist candidates during onsite interviews and recruiting events. Help ensure candidates have a professional and positive experience throughout the recruiting process. Coordinate logistics for career fairs and recruiting events. Register for events and maintain calendars with event details and logistics. Coordinate invoices and expenses related to recruiting events. Pack, ship, track, and coordinate the return of career fair materials. Assist with event planning and other recruiting-related activities. Travel & Expense Coordination Coordinate candidate travel arrangements as needed. Process candidate travel expense reimbursements. Assist with invoices related to recruiting, transportation, events, and other HR activities. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to expenses and recruiting activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 3-4 years of experience in HR, recruiting, administrative coordination, or a related function preferred. Previous experience supporting recruiting or HR operations is helpful but not required. Experience working with an applicant tracking system or HRIS. Workday experience is preferred. Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with Google Workspace/G Suite is a plus. Strong calendar management and scheduling skills.
