We are a close-knit team that works collaboratively across both tasting rooms. Many of our team members have been with us 10 or more years, and we take pride in supporting each other, cross-training, and pitching in wherever needed.
Position Overview

As a Wine Educator, you are the face of Del Dotto for our guests. You will guide visitors through cave barrel tastings, share the story of our family, our wines, and our winemaking philosophy, and create the kind of personalized experiences that turn first-time guests into Wine Club members and lifelong collectors. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available at our St. Helena Estate and our Piazza Del Dotto location in Yountville.

Responsibilities:
•  Lead cave barrel tastings and educational tours that bring our wines and family story to life
•  Build genuine connections with guests and represent the Del Dotto experience with warmth and professionalism
•  Drive wine sales and Wine Club sign-ups through thoughtful, consultative selling
•  Process transactions accurately using our POS system (Commerce 7)
•  Support tasting room operations, guest check-in, and bar setup throughout the day
•  Maintain a polished and professional tasting room environment
•  Collaborate with team members across both locations to ensure every guest has a memorable visit

Qualifications:
•  Must be 21 years of age or older
•  Outgoing personality, strong people skills, and a genuine love of hospitality
•  Sales-minded with the ability to read guests and tailor the experience to their interests
•  Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to support wherever needed
•  Some wine knowledge preferred, but we are happy to train the right person. We hire first for personality, hospitality instincts, and sales ability. Wine knowledge can be taught, the rest cannot
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable speaking to small groups
•  POS and general computer proficiency
•  Availability to work weekends and holidays is required, along with occasional evening events
•  Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 42 pounds

Compensation & Perks:
•  Competitive hourly pay. This is a sales-based role with strong commission earnings on wine and Wine Club sales, with the majority of your overall compensation coming from commission
•  Guest tips are optional at checkout and, based on your experience and the relationships you build with guests, can be a meaningful addition to your overall compensation
