Construction Quality Control Manager – Gana-A'Yoo Support Services (GSS) – Charleston, SC Type of Position: Full-Time, Regular Tier: 2 Schedule: Varies FLSA Classification: Exempt Reports to: General Manager Job Overview Gana-A'Yoo Support Services (GSS) is seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager to oversee a SABER federal construction project in Charleston, SC; pending contract award. Responsibilities Read and interpret specifications, plans, and resource documents to determine requirements and planning procedures as outlined in the RFP. Develop and implement a Quality Control plan, with responsibility for administration of the plan and inspection of work. Maintain current records providing factual evidence that required quality control activities and tests have been performed. Complete all reports and records in an accurate and timely manner. Perform two daily inspections, document, and update appropriate logs, including daily quality control reports. Conduct, attend, and participate in project meetings, including pre-final and final inspections. Coordinate Three Phase of Control Plan preparations (Preparatory, Initial, and Final Phases). Maintain quality control by frequent and regular inspection of work and work-in-progress. Maintain an orderly and clean presence on the job site and ensure full compliance with all safety requirements. Complete job close‑out procedures. Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem‑solving situations; use reason when dealing with emotional topics. Able to work in Quality Control System (QCS)/ USACE Resident Management System (RMS 3.0). Traveling/relocation will be required. Qualifications An accredited associate's degree in construction management or a related civil, structural, mechanical, or electrical field. 5 years of specialized experience as a project/job inspector or quality control specialist in a construction environment. Minimum 5 years of experience as a QC Manager, including civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing disciplines. Current certificate of completion of Construction Quality Managers for Contractors course, is a plus. Design/Build experience is a plus. US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Manager Course completion required. Federal Construction/DOD Experience Preferred. 30‑hour OSHA training preferred. Write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Proficient computer experience including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Project scheduling, RMS 3.0 (USACE contracts) required. Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work as a member of a team. Must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in the English language fluently.
