Landscape Maintenance SupervisorGreat career opportunity to join a high quality municipal Public Works Department in the City of Thousand Oaks!The City is seeking a knowledgeable and results oriented Landscape Maintenance Supervisor who will effectively lead a team of maintenance crew members and equipment operators in the administration of the City's landscape and maintenance programs.Primary responsibilities include overseeing operations of City landscape construction and maintenance programs; managing and supervising work crews; planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the performance of assigned staff; creating and distributing reports; developing budgets; preparing and editing landscape and irrigation construction plans; developing scopes of work and site maps; documenting and reporting costs; and attending after-hours meetings.The ideal candidate should possess 6 or more years of increasingly responsible landscape maintenance experience, including 1 year of lead supervisory responsibility; a high school diploma supplemented by college level course work in landscape architecture, horticulture, forestry or related field; ability to motivate and lead others; ability to exercise good judgment and make effective decisions; ability to work and communicate effectively with different stakeholders; State of California Department of Pesticide Regulations Qualified Applicator Certificate Categories B & C; International Society of Arboriculture Certification; and a valid Class C California driver's license.The City of Thousand Oaks offers an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, deferred compensation plans, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, long-term disability, holidays, vacation, sick leave, and tuition reimbursement.
