Position Summary:

LidWorks is seeking a Tooling Technician to join our Engineering Team. This role is responsible for tooling installation and changeovers, maintenance, inventory control, and supporting both production and prototype activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Review tool setup sheets and verify all required tooling components before installation
Evaluate die sets and production lines before installation and startup
Perform tooling installations and equipment adjustments across all production lines
Conduct line assessments, troubleshooting, and debugging before scheduled production startup
Adjust tooling according to specifications and complete installation sign-offs
Support production during post-changeover startups to ensure products meet quality standards
Complete Tool Change Acceptance documentation
Perform general tooling maintenance, inspections, and assembly setups
Maintain inventory of wear parts, hardware, and shop supplies
Provide off-shift tooling support and monitoring as needed
Collaborate with Engineering on tooling reviews, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts
Maintain cleanliness and proper operating conditions in the machine shop and tool room

Skills & Qualifications:

High school diploma required
Trade school certification in Tool & Die or Machine Tool Technology preferred
Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel) required
Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc. required
Experience with T/F tooling is a plus
Machine shop experience is a plus
