Job Description

The Cleanroom Production Operator works on an assembly line in a controlled cleanroom environment to manufacture medical device cartridges and reagent kit components. This role follows cGMP and ISO guidelines, adheres to detailed manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensures that all production activities meet quality, safety, and documentation requirements. The position requires both independent work and close collaboration with a production team to complete manufacturing work orders accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follow cGMP and ISO standards and guidelines as they apply to manufacturing activities.
• Assemble cartridges and reagent kit components according to established procedures.
• Follow manufacturing SOPs precisely to ensure consistent and compliant production.
• Organize and maintain the production floor area and supplies used during work.
• Work independently and as part of an assembly line team to meet production goals.
• Maintain a safe work environment when working with chemicals and equipment.
• Operate all manufacturing line equipment in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
• Resolve line issues promptly and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Adhere to the manufacturing schedule and complete manufacturing work orders in a timely manner.
• Review completed device manufacturing records and work orders for accuracy.
• Identify and correct errors in documentation and submit finished records for quality release.
• Serve as a role model for cGMP-compliant manufacturing practices.
• Assist with special projects as requested.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and related operations.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Experience working in production, fast food, retail, or other high-paced environments that require adherence to processes and procedures.
• Ability to follow SOPs and documented work instructions accurately.
• Understanding of cGMP principles in a manufacturing or medical device environment.
• Ability to work effectively on an assembly line and in a team-based production setting.
• Capability to operate manufacturing line equipment safely and reliably.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing and correcting manufacturing records and work orders.
• Ability to maintain organization of work areas and supplies in a cleanroom setting.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment when handling chemicals and equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in cleanroom production or cleanroom packaging is a plus.
• in medical device manufacturing is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with ISO standards related to manufacturing environments.
• Comfort working in structured environments such as production, fast food, or retail.
• Willingness to participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple production tasks.

Work Environment

This position is based in a cleanroom production environment that requires working on an assembly line with medical device components and reagents. The facility is large and newly built, offering modern equipment and organized workspaces. The role follows a first-shift schedule, with multiple openings available, and involves consistent adherence to cleanroom protocols, safety procedures, and manufacturing documentation standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.16/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Carlsbad,CA.
