Government Property Administrator

Job Summary Sentinel is looking for a Government Property Administrator at Vandenberg Space Force Base in Santa Barbara, CA. This position will report to the Field Supply Chain Manager in the Supply Chain Organization. The role is responsible for the administration of the government property control program. Candidates must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check, including verification of employment and education. For more information on the Sentinel program: Major Responsibilities Implement property management processes for acquisition, receiving, identification, records, inventories, subcontractor control, storage, movement, utilization, maintenance, reports, resilience of stewardship, disposition, contract closeout, and fleet management (GSA vehicles). Assist managers and administrators in completing tasks required by the Government Property Management Procedures and complying with regulatory requirements and property records management systems. Interface with property custodians to facilitate implementation of procedures and monitor compliance with prime contract obligations. Conduct investigations and inquiries into specific government property control management areas upon assignment. Draft correspondence and assist in preparing periodic status reports. Conduct inventories, reconcile reports, and prepare reports and metrics. Process excess property for disposition, including segregation, documentation, and turn‑in. Assist with or develop procedures, instructions, forms, and training programs. Maintain property record databases for uniquely identified property, summary records, subcontractor property, excess property, and disposed property. Prepare various property reports upon request, such as government inventory and government property status. Prepare trend analyses and participate in government property related meetings, organizing materials for meetings, presentations, and training sessions. Possibly oversee and administer programs using the property control system, as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Level I: University hire with 1–2 years of experience or 5–6 years of relevant work experience. Level II: Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of relevant experience or 6–9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with standard asset management software (e.g., Sunflower). Ability to lift and move equipment/material up to 25 pounds. Basic knowledge of contract types, terms, and legal requirements. NPMA CPPS certification or willingness and ability to attain it. Prior experience in tracking and control of government property. Six Sigma Yellow‑belt certification or willingness and ability to attain it. Basic knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations Part 45 and 52.245‑1.
