Breeze Airways DispatcherBreeze is hiring- join us! Our Dispatchers, who must hold a current FAA Certificate, will plan for the safe and efficient operation of each Breeze Airways flight. The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for supervising and leading a team of flight dispatchers, assigning duties, and managing work schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels. They oversee the planning and execution of flight schedules, ensuring compliance with regulations, weather conditions, and company policies. This includes calculating aircraft performance data, fuel requirements, and flight routes. They will communicate and coordinate with various departments, including management, flight operations, maintenance, ground operations, and air traffic control, to ensure seamless coordination and communication before and during flights.What You'll DoResource Optimization:Strategically allocate staff resources across departments to align with flight schedules and meet financial and operational goals.Ensure optimal staffing levels for each shift to maintain efficient operations. This may include working a dispatch desk in the event of temporary staffing shortages or during irregular operations at the discretion of management.Desk Assignments and Coverage:Collaborate with the dispatch department to establish desk assignments and coverage plans for the upcoming day's operations.Ensure adequate coverage during regular and irregular operations, adjusting as needed.Performance Standards and Audits:Set clear performance expectations for coworkers by conducting release audits and fostering consistent delivery of high-quality service and products.Provide support and guidance to maintain exceptional performance standards.Will be qualified check dispatchers and will perform competency checks in conjunction with the dispatch training team.Irregular Operations Support:Assist dispatchers during irregular operations by managing flight counts and ensuring adequate coverage, especially on high-flight volume days.Actively contribute to maintaining operational continuity during unexpected events.Project Involvement:Work with dispatch management on projects aligned with company initiatives, such as tabletop exercises, proving runs, and flag operations, contributing to their successful execution.ATC Coordination and Monitoring:Handle ATC calls and monitor Operational Information System (OIS), potentially overseeing FSM access and training for relevant staff.Ensure smooth communication with the manager of air traffic management.Assisting with the development of flight routing and compliance with the ATS.Operational Improvement:Collaborate with duty managers to proactively identify opportunities for enhancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.Implement strategies to improve overall performance based on identified opportunities.Documentation and Safety Review:Collect and maintain necessary paperwork as required by regulations and company policies.Review safety reports, identify potential areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures as needed.Risk Identification and Reporting:Identify high-risk operations or locations and develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.Generate detailed reports upon request, providing insights and recommendations for improving operational safety and efficiency.Emergency Dispatch Procedures:Assist in emergency dispatch procedures, including diversions, Medlink coordination, or other unexpected situations, ensuring a swift and effective response.Other duties as assignedWhat You Need To Be SuccessfulMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma, equivalent education attainment, or equivalent experienceFAA Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate1+ as an Aircraft Dispatcher (combination of education and experience will be considered)Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of ageMust have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug testMust pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background checkMust be fluent in spoken and written EnglishPreferred QualificationsCurrent Qualified Breeze DispatcherSkills/TalentsAbility to maintain a poised demeanor while working in a fast-paced environmentExperience engaging all people and all types of personalities and agendasAbility to establish credibility and to be decisiveAbility to communicate clearly, concisely, logically, and coherently at various levels within the organization, both written and verbalResults-oriented with the ability to balance other prioritiesStrong analytical and reasoning abilitiesExcellent time management skillsExemplifies Breeze's safety culture, values, and missionResponsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations and company policies and proceduresReliable attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short noticeProficient in Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Demands & Working ConditionsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerFrequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents, and operating standard office equipmentOccasionally lift and/or move up to 15 poundsOccasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within an office environmentClear verbal and written communication, requiring adequate speech, hearing, and visionPerks of the JobHealth, Vision and Dental – Full TimeHealth Savings Account with Breeze Employee Match401K with Breeze Employee MatchGenerous PTOTravel on Breeze and other Airlines too!Breeze Airways provides equal employment opportunities to all Team Members and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
