Licensed Practical Nurse Per Diem UCHC MSCF (Multiple Vacancies)

Position Overview University Correctional Health Care (UCHC), a Rutgers institution, provides comprehensive health services to individuals involved in the New Jersey criminal justice system. The per‑diem Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work at Midstate Correctional Facility in Wrightstown, NJ, and will provide patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Key Responsibilities Participates in data collection related to patients’ status and needs. Provides input to the RN to incorporate information into the plan of care. Provides direct patient care within scope of practice to ensure plan implementation. Informs and instructs patients and significant others on health status and care plans. Assists patients/significant others in discharge preparation and home health maintenance. Documents all aspects of patient care. Compensation and Work Arrangements Hourly pay: $29.00/hr. Must possess own vehicle or alternative transportation. Preferred: At least six (6) months experience in an acute hospital setting. Physical Demands Must be able to perform CPR for at least 10 minutes and lift or rotate patients who are unable to ambulate (up to 50 pounds). Legal and Employment Information FLSA: Non‑exempt.
