Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding contract role for the upcoming school year, supporting elementary student success as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This is a full-time opportunity to work with a caseload of 35+ students in grades K-5. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators and families, providing services across two welcoming elementary schools. The assignment begins August 4, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027—an ideal fit for SLPs passionate about making a significant difference in young learners’ communication and academic progress.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current New Mexico Speech-Language Pathologist license
• Active, valid New Mexico PED (must be ready for immediate submission; pending or in-process licenses cannot be accepted)
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting, particularly with K-5 populations, is highly valued
• Exceptional communication skills and a talent for building rapport with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities

You Will:

• Serve as a Speech-Language Pathologist for students across Route 66 Elementary and South Mountain Elementary
• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support each student’s development
• Document progress and ensure ongoing compliance with all school, state, and federal guidelines
