Equipment Room Bartender/Cocktail Server (Full Time)

A Bartender will mix and serve drinks to patrons, wait on bar patrons and serve items from the bar menu, create bar menu items, and handle all food preparation associated with bar service. This role emphasizes cocktail waitressing; you own your section and provide the best service. Key Responsibilities Check IDs for patrons 21 and up. Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons. Mix ingredients to prepare and garnish cocktails and other beverages according to company standards. Serve snacks or food items to customers as requested or submit orders to kitchen. Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment. Arrange bottles and glasses to create attractive displays. Help plan and organize menu and operations of the cocktail lounge or bar. Respond promptly to guest comments and concerns, inform immediate supervisor, and assist implementing corrective measures when necessary. Collect money for all orders taken. Verify identification of customers to meet age requirements for alcohol purchase. Balance cash receipts. Prevent problems and liability related to excessive drinking by persuading customers to stop drinking, arranging transportation, etc. Order or requisition liquors and supplies. Ask loud or unruly customers to leave. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety in the work area. Based upon fluctuating demands of the operation and to exceed customer expectations, it may be necessary to perform a multitude of different functions not specifically related to this position. This person may be expected to perform other tasks and duties as needed or as directed. Employee responsibilities and job descriptions are subject to review and revision. Qualifications High School diploma or GED; college degree preferred. At least six months related experience in hospitality or service industry. Up‑to‑date TABC and Food Handler’s certifications. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the workplace. Knowledge of menu and upselling opportunities. Assist with maintaining a unique atmosphere by informing guests of our service style. Growing knowledge of craft cocktail basics and culture.
