Part Time Accountant

Job Description Job Description Growing peer-reviewed Long Island CPA Firm seeking an experienced part time accountant. 2-4 days per week. The firm does Audits, Reviews and Compilations, all levels of tax return work and a specialization in Forensic Accounting and Business Valuations. This is a permanent year round position with very flexible hours! Responsibilities: * Prepare Corporate/Individual/Partnership Tax Returns * Interact with business and non-profit clients * Assistance with Forensic Accounting cases * Assist with Audits, Reviews and Compilations * Business Valuation -Assistance Qualifications: * 3 years of experience in public accounting doing tax returns * Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) * Knowledge of Lacerte and OfficeTools a plus * Ability to communicate well with clients * Must be detail and deadline-oriented * Must be able to work independently * Strong analytical and problem solving skills Flexible hours - will accommodate school schedules; returnees welcome * Some telecommuting OK * Competitive salary based on experience Company Description Growing Long Island CPA firm specializing in small business accounting, taxation, audits, and forensic accounting services.
