Behavioral Health Specialist

Medical Assistant - Behavioral Health Specialist Needed

Qualifications:

• CPR certification for Health Care Providers

• High School Diploma

• MA certification in absence of Behavioral Health experience or education (preferred)

• Experience in Behavioral Health settings or education related to Behavioral Health practice

• Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively;

• Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation

• Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone, and in writing

• Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance

• Basic computer skills

• A working knowledge of healthcare regulations

Additional Responsibilities:

• Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.

• Maintain a work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.

• Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.

• Adhere to employer work practices as described in the practices Policies and Procedures Manual and in the BH Policies and Procedures.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.

• Effectively cope with typical job stress (self-care).

• Perform other duties as assigned
