Job Title: Camera Prototyping Engineer

Location: Redmond, WA (Hybrid/Onsite)

Duration: 6-Month Contract (Potential for Extension)

We are seeking a Camera Prototyping Engineer to support the development, integration, and validation of advanced camera systems used in emerging technologies and intelligent imaging applications. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who enjoys building prototypes, troubleshooting complex hardware systems, and collaborating across mechanical, electrical, optical, and software disciplines.

You will play a key role in prototype development, hardware demonstrations, system integration, and performance validation of cutting-edge camera platforms.

\n

Responsibilities

\n

\n
• Build, integrate, test, and troubleshoot camera-based prototype systems.
\n
• Support internal product demonstrations by preparing devices, validating functionality, and ensuring system readiness.
\n
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate camera hardware prototypes.
\n
• Perform hardware bring-up, calibration, debugging, and system verification activities.
\n
• Assist with procurement, assembly, and testing of prototype components and equipment.
\n
• Collaborate with data collection and engineering teams to support prototype evaluation and performance analysis.
\n
• Plan, coordinate, and track prototype development activities across multiple stakeholders.
\n
• Document test results, issues, and recommendations to support engineering decisions.
\n

Minimum Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineer, or Mechanical Engineering
\n
• Familiarity with working with camera sensors streaming RAW data
\n
• Experience with mechanical, optical and electrical prototyping: ability to put together complex systems, perform soldering and basic electrical testing, and evaluate and align optical components.
\n
• Experience Working on AI

Preferred Qualifications

\n

\n
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
\n
• Experience working with cameras used for AI applications; such as AR/VR, Robotics, Autonomous Vehicles, Computer Vision applications, or other relevant fields.
\n
• Expertise with any of the following prototyping skills: CAD design & 3d printing, electrical design, programming embedded devices, assembly of consumer electronics
\n
• Experience working with Android devices (ADB)
