And we offer you the freedom to be a positive disrupter and turn big ideas into bold, industry-changing realities.For our business, for clients, and for youThe Role & Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to performing and coordinating a variety of administrative duties and tasks includingSet up of operational procedures and workflowsImplementation of Fund data using PE softwareMaintain strong, consultative relationship with key clientsClient service deliverablesReview preparation of workpapers and financial statementsAssist manager(s) in areas including but not limited to, training of junior staff, setting up operational procedures and workflows, preparation of capital call & distribution notices, management fee calculations and waterfallsAssist with year-end audit and tax processQualifications, Skills and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required5+ years’ experience in Private Equity Fund accounting experience with closed-end fund structuresCPA/MBA/Master’s Degree is an advantagePrevious experience leading people a plusAbility to work towards and meet agreed deadlinesAllvue, Paxus, Geneva, Investran or eFront, or comparable technology experience would be an advantagePrior experience with incentive fees, waterfall distributions, allocations, financial statements and/or subsequent closes is a plusHighly organized and motivated individual with an acute attention to detailSelf-starter who volunteers for new opportunities and projectsAbility to manage complex accounting structuresExcellent interpersonal and written communications skillsStrong communication and analytical skillsHigh competency in technology softwareStrong organizational skillsAccurate and acute attention to detailAdaptability - able to change tasks quickly as business needs dictateUses discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential informationExcellent oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to audienceProven ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage time effectively and meet deadlines accordinglySelf-motivatedPunctualityImportant Location Information: Please note that Apex Group is currently reviewing its office location strategy in the Greater Toronto Area and may ultimately operate from a single office location, either in Mississauga or within Toronto's downtown financial district.Salary ranges from CAD $110,000.00 – CAD $130,000.00 plus additional discretionary yearly bonus based on corporate and individual's performance.
