Accounting Manager

Job Summary The Accounting Manager supports accounting operations across a multi-entity healthcare practice, helping ensure accurate and timely GAAP financial reporting. This position reports to the Controller and is designed for a high-performing accounting professional seeking continued growth. As the organization scales, this role is expected to take on increasing responsibility, with potential advancement roles over time. Responsibilities Support the monthly close process, with ownership of accrual builds and reconciliation preparation across entities. Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and balance sheet and P&L reconciliations. Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial statements. Maintain the books and records using QuickBooks as the accounting ERP. Assist with audit preparation and support, coordinating documentation and requests. Support process improvements to streamline accounting workflow, procedures, checklists, and financial controls - including the use of AI to build more efficient processes. Help maintain consistent accounting practices across all entities. Ad-hoc reporting to support management requests and other departments. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an Accredited University; CPA preferred. 5-8 years of accounting experience in a corporation or startup company, including hands‑on close and reconciliation experience. Strong foundation in GAAP, accruals, and financial reporting. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, with the ability to streamline workflows and maintain clear, reliable financial records. Experience Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required. Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred.
