Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Jersey City, NJ We are partnering with a growing organization in the Jersey City, NJ area seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing leadership responsibilities with day‑to‑day operational accounting involvement. The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting functions, support financial reporting and cash flow management, and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including AP and AR functions Prepare and maintain A/R aging reports and assist with collections visibility Manage month‑end close , including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis Perform balance sheet reconciliations and income statement analysis Support cash flow forecasting and liquidity management Ensure compliance with GAAP and ASC 842 accounting standards Assist with process improvements and support overall accounting operations Collaborate cross‑functionally with leadership and operational teams Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 3+ years of prior accounting leadership/management experience Prior oversight of AP/AR operations Strong understanding of GAAP and ASC 842 Experience with cash flow forecasting and financial reporting Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Preferred Qualifications CPA or CMA designation Experience with Sage Intacct and/or Sage 300 Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage Prescription and Life Insurance options Short‑Term & Long‑Term Disability coverage 401(k) plan Paid vacation, sick days, personal day, and holidays This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to make an impact within a collaborative and growing organization while remaining hands‑on in the accounting function. #J-18808-Ljbffr
