Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the residential location, common areas, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by observing entrances and exits, verifying authorized movement when needed, and communicating with management and/or first responders during security-related events.
• Support a welcoming environment by answering basic questions, providing directions, and assisting with security-related requests in a professional manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience or at least 2 years of security supervisor/manager experience or at least 3 years of security-related experience.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
