Bus Monitor/Aide

Bus AideQualifications:A minimum of a high school diplomaPrevious job experience with children preferredMust have transportation to and from the bus stopSuch alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptableTerms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the School BoardReports To: Director of TransportationJob Goals: To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extracurricular programJob Responsibilities: Such duties as may be assigned, including but not limited to, the following:Meets all professional conduct standards as set by MS Educator Code of Ethics Standards of ConductAssists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the busAssists young or disabled students in getting on and off the busAssures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashionProvides written records of violations of the student code to the transportation supervisorCollects and turns over to the Director of Transportation those personal items left on the bus by studentsEnsures the safety and good behavior on the bus of an individual student, if assigned to superviseFollow all board policies and proceduresMaintain regular attendance and is punctualPromote the district's vision, mission, and goalsPerform any other duties as outlined by the Director of TransportationJob Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional PersonnelThe employee is required to perform all related duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator and/or supervisor.
