Job Title: Packager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Packager. In this role, you will be responsible for loading and unloading aluminum steel from racks, stacking them into bundles for shipment, and lifting products with a partner. The position requires packaging a quota of 1300 lbs per hour, with items weighing between 25 lbs and 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload aluminum steel from racks.
• Stack products into bundles for shipment.
• Lift and package products with a partner, meeting a quota of 1300 lbs per hour.

Essential Skills

• Experience in packaging, shipping, loading, and unloading.
• Ability to perform physical labor and work as a helper.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in steel handling is a plus but not required.
• Experience in shipping and packaging is beneficial.

Work Environment

The work environment is in an older facility specializing in aluminum extrusion for various end uses such as pipes, bars, and rods. The facility is non-climate controlled and may be dirty due to forklift operations that move between indoors and outdoors. Dress appropriately for a physical and dynamic work setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jeffersonville, IN.

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
