Qualifications
Basic Life Support certification, required
Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning
Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recent graduate of an approved training program in Radiologic Technology (board eligible)
If board eligible, must obtain credential in Radiography within 6 months of hire
Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist or a current ISDH Radiology Student Permit
Responsibilities
Family practice/urgent care outpatient office environment only
No heavy lifting of patients.
No fluoroscopy
Expected to perform diagnostic radiographic procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric
Follows physicians instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images
Treats patients with care and respect
Front desk registration responsibilities are expected. Occasional back office responsibilities when needed.
