This position provides overall administrative planning, direction, training and policies to Operations Foreman, Ice Operations Supervisor, Operations Supervisors and Staff, assuring the highest quality service to assure client satisfaction.This role will pay an annual salary of $77,968.80-$85,000.00.Benefits for full-time roles: Health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) savings plan, 401(k) matching, and paid time off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays).This position will remain open until July 4, 2025.ResponsibilitiesSupervise and participate in day to day operations of the Arena, Community Ice Rink, and Conference CenterCoordinate and communicate all relevant information for event setups, changeovers, and maintenance tasks throughout the Events Center (Arena, Community Ice Rink and Conference Center)Hire, train, and supervise part time and/or contract staffEnsure ice is maintained to WHL standards for games, practices, and special eventsWork with stakeholders to schedule and plan for various on ice events including home and away team practices, Community Ice Rink events, team special events, gameday promotions, etc.Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all aspects of the facilityCoordinate labor hours for staff and contract workers. Monitor and report labor allocations to DirectorAssign work activities, monitor workflow, identify and resolve common operational issues related to changeoverEnsure employees have the equipment and resources to perform the job efficientlyCoordinate preventative and regular maintenance for all company equipmentMaintain employee paperwork including scheduling, attendance, payroll, disciplinary procedures, etc.Assist the Engineering department with projects as requiredComplete daily facility reportsOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school preferredMinimum of five years’ experience in supervision of others/work crews requiredDemonstrated knowledge of supervisory skills and experienceAbility to communicate with employees, co-workers, clients, and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic, and cooperative work environmentCapable of operating Microsoft Office software; including Excel, Word, and OutlookWorking knowledge of facility and arena operations, changeovers and setupsWorking knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, basketball floors, hockey glass, etc.Ability to oversee and direct staff in performance of changeover functions and ice maintenanceAbility to follow written instruction, interpret AutoCAD drawings and execute plansCapable of working nights, weekends and holidays, as well extended hours when neededAbility to handle multiple tasks at one timeAbility to meet deadlines and function under stressKnowledge of OSHA requirementsPrevious experience with operating a Zamboni and ice maintenance is a plusStrengthened by Our Differences.
