Site Reliability Engineer - Collaboration & Communication

Salary: $42,500 - 70,500 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, along with 3+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience across system design, application development, testing, and production or operational stability.
• We expect strong coding ability in Linux, Bash, and Python.
• We look for proven experience developing, debugging, and maintaining enterprise-scale code, including database querying, with a solid understanding of the SDLC and end-to-end delivery.
• We value practical experience with Agile ways of working, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices, plus exposure to modern domains such as cloud, AI/ML, and/or mobile and their supporting processes.
• We need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to tailor messages for senior business leaders and junior technologists.
• We prefer a pragmatic mindset that supports technical re-engineering and modernization while sustaining business delivery.
• We require deep expertise in SRE best practices, including reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, and toil reduction, with the ability to help embed an SRE culture within the team.
• We expect strong knowledge of operational tooling such as file transfers, SSL/certificates, load balancers, job scheduling, monitoring, backup and capacity management, plus containers and orchestration tools like Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Terraform, and network troubleshooting.
• We need working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support SRE workflows, with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• We require the ability to validate AI-assisted operational recommendations before making changes, escalating when uncertain and following data sensitivity requirements.
• SIP or VoIP familiarity is preferred.

• We deliver end-to-end software solutions, including design, development, and troubleshooting, using strong problem decomposition and innovative thinking.
• We build and maintain secure, high-quality production code, including synchronous integrations and algorithm maintenance.
• We produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure implementation aligns with design constraints.
• We analyze large and varied datasets to generate insights, visualizations, and reports that support continuous improvement.
• We proactively identify hidden issues and patterns to improve coding hygiene, reliability, and system architecture.
• We champion a site reliability culture by defining, educating on, and operationalizing SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets with product, engineering, and stakeholders, while monitoring and reviewing them regularly.
• We drive delivery excellence through self-learning, blocker resolution, and strong change and release management practices.
• We apply knowledge of SDLC tools, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation.
• We lead cross-team operational work such as platform and infrastructure planning, data center migrations, partner engagements, audits, application hygiene, and contributions to engineering communities, knowledge sharing, and an inclusive, resilient team culture.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis, while validating outputs and handling operational data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
• We use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to identify patterns in operational signals that indicate reliability risk or recurring toil, and we prioritize reuse-first improvements tied to SLO outcomes.
