Azure Platform Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce's client in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join a dynamic technology team on a 6-month contract basis.

Summary:
This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud-based solutions within Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and DevOps practices, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

This is a fully remote opportunity; however, candidates must reside and work within the Eastern Time Zone to support team collaboration and business operations.
REQUIREMENTS:

5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related roles

3+ years of hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments

Strong understanding of Azure networking, security, storage, identity, and compute services

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep

Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms

Proficiency with PowerShell, Python, or other automation scripting languages

Experience implementing cloud security best practices and governance controls

Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Ability to work independently in a remote environment
