Workstation Specialist I

Location: Omaha, NE Requisition Number: Staff_14751 Department: IT Workstation Support Business Unit: Information Technology Employment Type: Full-Time Regular Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm Remote/Telecommuting: No remote/telecommuting opportunity Position Summary: Provides basic level of workstation support to an assigned customer base which includes installing and troubleshooting workstation and peripheral hardware and software; customer training; workstation security administration; and documentation. This is a customer-oriented position and provides direct support for all desktop and endpoint related issues submitted by the enterprise. Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot workstation hardware and peripherals. Diagnose and resolve software issues on Windows operating systems. Provide user training on operating systems and standard applications. Administer workstation security settings and perform routine documentation. Respond to support requests submitted by the enterprise for desktop and endpoint issues. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT Management/Administration or related IT field; alternatively, four years of education/experience related to workstation configuration, installation, and support. Valid driver's license. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in an academic or healthcare environment. Knowledge of Active Directory, endpoint management platforms (SCCM, Intune, Workspace One). Familiarity with workstation imaging, MDM solutions, and Office 365/cloud suite support.
