Your Future Role At A GlanceLocation: Chicago, ILFacility: Ascension Saint JosephDepartment: PACUSchedule: PRN | Day shiftHow You'll Make An Impact In This RoleGuide Patients Through Post-Surgical Recovery: Deliver expert, direct nursing care across the recovery continuum, safely managing patients as they emerge from anesthesia in accordance with our trusted hospital protocols.Provide Critical Vigilance & Clear Communication: Closely monitor, record, and interpret patient conditions during the vital post-operative window, executing physician orders with precision and serving as a calming, vital link for families and the surgical team.Coordinate Safe, Smooth Transitions: Act as the central coordinator across medical disciplines on an as-needed basis, balancing immediate clinical stability with comprehensive discharge planning to ensure patients are safely prepared for their next phase of healing or return home.What Minimum Requirements You'll NeedLicensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
