The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's accounting functions. This includes maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger, as well as preparing and analyzing budgets. Competitive Base Salary Annual Bonus Great 401K Match Excellent Benefits 5+ weeks PTO Industry leading company who is growing & so much more Job Details Responsibilities: Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements Coordinating the preparation of regulatory reporting Researching technical accounting issues for compliance Supporting month-end and year-end close process Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Liaising with our auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Managing and mentoring members of the accounting team Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector. Proven experience as a financial controller, accounting supervisor, or a similar role. Solid experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process. Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. An understanding of the engineering industry and its financial regulations.
