NIGHT MANAGER

Description NIGHT MANAGER ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Achieves desired gross profit. Achieves desired level of productivity. Projects sales, product movement, and labor needs. Manages and motivates staff, recruits staff, trains and develops staff according to company policies and employment laws, and ensures relevant HR procedures are followed (appraisals, discipline, etc.). Manages cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and policies, with staff and customer safety as the uppermost priority. Maintains and reports on all merchandise and non‑merchandise stock as necessary. Maintains upkeep and condition of all equipment, fixtures, etc. on premises. Manages health and safety, security, and emergency systems, capabilities, and staff/customer awareness according to company policy and relevant law. Seeks and continuously develops knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing, and tactics, and communicates this to the Store Manager. Attends meetings and contributes to company strategy and policy‑making as required. Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for store employees. Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines. Conducts store closing procedures. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing machines, sanitizing equipment, etc.). Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds. Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports, and verification of receipts. May order merchandise and supplies according to established guidelines. Stands for extended periods of time to perform job functions. Develops personal skills and capability through ongoing training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to company approval. Other duties as assigned. JOB STANDARDS / REQUIREMENTS Follows dress code. Follows established safety policies and procedures. Follows written and oral instructions. Works well with others. Speaks English fluently. Eyesight corrected to 20/20. Hearing corrected to normal range. Possesses full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Has knowledge of total store operations.
